“And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds.”~ Hebrews 10:24
Starbucks Founder and CEO Howard Schulz in his book, Pour Your Heart Into It, writes that “in this ethical vacuum of this era, people long to be inspired. Even if it’s just a movie, or a TV program, or a great cup of coffee, they want a break from the negative noise that inundates us.”
Most recently at our Hope4Hollywood Ladies Tea Connect we introduced the idea of sharing stories. Through stories, we were able to connect with one another and as Hebrews says, ‘consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds.”
In the “busyness” of Hollywood, time set apart for meaningful connection is rare. However, taking time out to cultivate and nurture relationships is not only necessary but essential to building up ourselves and our community of faith.
Where in your life is the “negative noise” overwhelming you?
How will you set apart time this week to make a meaningful connection?
