Kathy Picture

Kathy Young – Director

Since relocating from Florida to Los Angeles in 2006, Kathy has been guiding actors who are beginning or refreshing their careers in order to help them become industry professionals. Kathy’s students have appeared on Criminal Minds, Glee, Community and CSI and combined, her actors have booked over 100 SAG national and regional commercials.

Personally, Kathy has been an active participant in Bible Study Fellowship since 1991. For over 20 years, she has served in both para-church and church ministries, teaching youth, young adults and women. She is a member of the West Coast Regional Task Force of Christian Women in Media and attends Saddleback LA church. Kathy has facilitated numerous Bible studies including Esther, James: Mercy Triumphs, Forgiveness with Iylana Vanzant, and The Gifts of Imperfection with best-selling author Brene Brown. As a certified life coach, Kathy’s passion continues to be partnering with students at their “crossroads” and helping them find meaningful success in Hollywood.

Kevin Deegan – Mission Director

Originally from Miami, Florida, Kevin moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career and attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Since moving to LA, Kevin has appeared on television and has booked numerous national and regional commercials including Nike Champs, Mountain Dew, Little Caesar’s, Gamefly, Honda and Samsung.

For over 10 years, Kevin has led Bible Study groups, taught children and served as Class Administrator in Bible Study Fellowship.  Kevin has a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and graduated from Fuller Seminary earning his Master’s of Divinity. He currently works as a chaplain for Providence TrinityCare Hospice. His vision includes establishing a chaplaincy program on all of the major studios in Hollywood.

Veronica Garcia

Veronica Garcia – Admin. Asst.

Veronica hails from the “Enchanted Island” of Puerto Rico. Always captivated by stories and literature, she attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and earned a Bachelor’s Degreee in Video Production. After college, Veronica worked in Central Florida shooting and editing wedding videos. In 2008, she was inspired by the film “Bella” which motivated her to move to Los Angeles and pursue a career in the film industry. Veronica worked in post-production and production on several television shows for 3 years. She is currently involved in entertainment ministry works and continues to do freelance video editing. Her hope is to work in film development in order to bring inspiring, powerful and true stories to the big screen.
